Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Data Specialist to support our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting geospatial data to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collection and Management: Search, collect, process, and manage large datasets, including GIS data, satellite imagery, and other spatial data sources.
  • Validate and ensure the accuracy, quality, and completeness of spatial data.
  • ETL operations: Perform ETL operations between GIS applications/database using Esri Desktop or Server.
  • GIS Analysis and Mapping: Conduct spatial analysis, map creation, and geospatial model development to aid various projects and initiatives.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through quality checks and resolution of data discrepancies using ArcGIS Data Reviewer.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including project managers, analysts, and external partners, to comprehend data requirements.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Create training materials and conduct trainings to customers as required.
  • Industry Expertise: Stay Up to Date with Industry Trends: Engage in continuous professional development to uphold expertise in GIS technology, data analysis, and AI.

Requirements

  • Experience with Image analysis: Familiarity with Image processing techniques.
  • Working knowledge on imagery-based data creation on Esri platform.
  • Master's degree in RS, GIS, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
  • Ability to identify, research, and resolve issues proactively and provide recommendations to business partners, peers, and various levels of management.
