Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop CMOS Integrated circuit designs.
  • Work within a group of analog/RF IC design experts and be assigned to a multichip module product team with typically 3 to 5 design engineers.
  • Interface with design management and module design teams to create detailed specifications, report design progress, and collect, track, and resolve any performance and circuit design issues.

Requirements

  • BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Expertise with Cadence design tools, including schematic capture, simulators, and layout.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to organize information, and present results clearly.
  • Advanced knowledge of analog designs, such as bandgaps, op-amps, regulators, precision current sources in CMOS or BiCMOS technologies.
  • Knowledge of feedback systems, poles and zeroes, loop dynamics.
  • Basic digital logic, truth tables, digital signaling techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of MOS and bipolar device physics, and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Oversee the work of layout designers and test engineers.
  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with co-design of analog and digital circuits, trim circuits, ADC/DAC.
  • System modeling skills, such as MATLAB, Verilog-A.
  • Good judgment in solving a broad range of issues, based on educational background and/or industry experience.
