Strategic Equity Investment Specialist

Job Title: Strategic Equity Investment Specialist

Department: Corporate Finance

Business Unit: Financial Services Division

Designation: Assistant/Manager

Reports to: Global Head of Treasury and Investments

Job Overview:

  • The team has a surplus cash balance that needs to be invested efficiently.
  • Our treasury department is responsible for managing these funds and achieving targeted returns on investment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting in-depth analysis of company and sector dynamics, creating detailed financial models, and continuously monitoring assigned companies.
  • Examining a company's financial reports, including balance sheets and cash flow statements, to identify potential investments.
  • Developing comprehensive investment theses by analyzing financial statements.
  • Performing market and portfolio analysis to inform equity investment decisions.
  • Providing continuous coverage of allocated industries and stocks, including earnings results and corporate actions analysis.
  • Macro event analysis and their potential effects on stock movements and directions.
  • Liaising with backoffice teams to ensure timely trade processing.
  • Studying and analyzing market and economic data to inform investment decisions.
  • Maintaining and updating portfolios, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Evaluating startup companies and preparing detailed reports highlighting opportunities and risks.
  • Remaining up-to-date on industry developments and regulatory changes.

Requirements:

  • CA or Full-time MBA in Finance with a minimum 8-12 years of experience
  • Working experience with SAP
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent listening skills to coordinate effectively with stakeholders
