Job Title: Academic Expert in STEM Education

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced academic expert to lead our capacity-building programs in teacher education. As an Academic Expert in STEM Education, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of teachers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects.

  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs that cater to the needs of teachers in STEM subjects.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions to equip teachers with progressive pedagogical and adult learning methodologies.
  • Prepare capacity building program plans and provide inputs for the preparation of the academic calendar.
  • Collaborate with other subject teams to plan and execute STEM programs.
  • Analyze feedback from teachers and incorporate it into subsequent trainings.
  • Provide direction for the STEM program in alignment with current educational policies and guidelines.
  • Develop detailed program frameworks, teaching plans, and workshop modules based on relevant national and international reference material.
  • Develop program materials for short-term and intensive courses.
  • Strengthen the Resource Centre and develop subject-specific resource materials.

Key Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of experience in capacity-building programs in teacher education.
  • M.Sc. in Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry, or an equivalent degree.
  • B.Ed. or an equivalent degree.
