Job Title

A highly skilled and experienced Project Manager is required to oversee the implementation of a Personal Information Protection Act compliance framework across various business units within a reputable banking organization.

  • This role involves conducting a comprehensive assessment of current data privacy policies, systems, and processes to identify gaps against PIPA requirements.
  • The ideal candidate will work closely with Legal, Risk, IT Security, Compliance, and Business Units to define and implement appropriate controls for data collection, storage, access, and sharing.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of a data mapping and inventory to identify all personal data processed by the organization.
  • Establish governance structures, reporting mechanisms, and escalation paths to ensure compliance tracking and accountability.
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party assessments related to data processing and privacy.
  • Design and facilitate training and awareness programs for staff on data protection principles and responsibilities under PIPA.
Requirements
  • Proven experience managing regulatory or compliance-driven projects, preferably in the financial services sector.
  • In-depth understanding of data privacy regulations (PIPA, GDPR, or similar).
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
