Embedded Systems Specialist

Honeywell Aerospace is a leader in aerospace innovation, committed to developing cutting-edge solutions that improve flight efficiency and safety.

The company is seeking an Embedded Systems Specialist to design and develop end-to-end test solutions for avionics simulation benches. This role will play a critical part in applying test solutions during engineering development, certification, and production of Honeywell Avionics.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to requirements analysis and decomposition for test stations.
  • Understand hardware and software development life cycles.
  • Create robust avionics simulation benches for product families and configurations.
  • Leverage principles of simulation model-based development system design, systems integration, validation, and verification, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Contribute to innovation and new product development for enhancing test system design, cost, and cycle time.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements, define overall vision, and communicate ideas and solutions to teams.
  • Work with users to understand overall test solution needs and collaborate with product teams.
  • Effectively map competitive landscapes, benchmark designs, and technology trends.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in the avionics domain with hands-on experience in test solution development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Hands-on experience in C/C++, C#, Python programming languages.
  • Proficiency in using tools like MS Visio, Visual Studio, and MS Excel.
  • Good understanding of analog and digital communication protocols like RS422, A429, CAN bus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
