Job Description:
  • Lead the design configuration and deployment of industrial automation systems in manufacturing operations.
  • Architect and implement real-time data acquisition visualization and reporting solutions.
  • Ensure seamless integration of operational technology (OT) systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, and manufacturing execution systems (MES) with enterprise information technology (IT) systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) databases, and cloud platforms.
  • Develop and maintain secure, efficient data exchange using REST APIs, message queuing telemetry transport (MQTT), and open platform communications unified architecture (OPC UA) protocols.
  • Manage industrial databases, SQL historian, time-series databases for high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.
  • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives, such as Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, and predictive analytics.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and support existing SCADA/MES deployments to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team.

This role requires a proven expert in industrial automation, including system design, configuration, and project deployment.

Familiarity with database technologies, such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, is required.

Experience with OT/IT integration technologies, including REST APIs for system interconnectivity, MQTT for IIoT messaging and lightweight communication, and OPC UA for industrial interoperability, is also necessary.

Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, SCADA systems, human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and plant floor connectivity is required.

Familiarity with manufacturing standards, such as ISA95, ISA88, ISA99, and IEC 62443, is necessary.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential.

Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms, Azure IoT, AWS IoT, etc., and knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments is required.

Familiarity with containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, for SCADA/MES deployments is also necessary.

Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation, Industry 4.0 projects, and certifications in Ignition Gold Certified Specialist, OPC UA, or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications are preferred.
