Geoscientist Job Summary

This is a challenging role for an experienced geoscientist who can lead the interpretation of various geo-science data, create robust geological models, and generate multiple development scenarios. The successful candidate will provide technical input to business units and support planning and geo-steering of horizontal wells.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Data Analysis: Review stratigraphic/coal seam correlations, structural interpretation, and quality control of geological & seam parameter maps.
  • Model Building: Develop static geo-cellular models incorporating available data of the field.
  • Volumetric Estimation: Perform volumetric estimation in multiple cases capturing the range of uncertainties.
  • Quality Control: QC map-based & model-based OGIIP estimations.
  • Development Scenarios: Generate alternate development scenarios with respect to well type, spacing etc.
  • Well Planning: Review geological prognosis & well trajectories for development drilling.
  • Operational Support: Support Ops Geology team during geo-steering/drilling operations and provide operational decisions as required.
  • Business Development: Provide technical inputs for business development plans.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

M.Sc / M.Tech or PhD in Geology is required for this role. A minimum of 8-12 years of relevant experience in industry working on Interpretation, Geo-modelling, Well Planning and Operations is essential.
