Position: SDE II Backend Engineer

We are looking for a self-motivated, creative and proactive SDE II Backend Engineer who will work successfully in a fast-paced environment including multiple platforms and architectures, diverse technologies and cloud environments.

The individual will work closely with various stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), executing test iterations, tracking & reporting test results, and troubleshooting and coordinating bug fixes.

The individual should have a strong understanding of agile processes and the related quality assurance (QA) lifecycle, JIRA and Scrum methodology.

Job Overview And Responsibilities:

You will work with the engineering lead and be part of the Engineering team. You will communicate and collaborate across the organization to:

  • Develop and maintain our products
  • Contribute to the ideation, technical design, implementation, and testing of product features that will transform the capital markets.
  • Design & deliver thoughtfully crafted REST APIs, interfaces and database schemas to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Produce high-quality software following good architecture and design principles that are scalable. Contribute to test automation within an agile team.
  • Participate in and contribute actively to architecture reviews, code reviews, design reviews, and postmortems, and raise the bar for engineering best practices across the team.
  • Document changes and guides for the applications
  • Closely collaborate with cross-team members and departments
  • Provide technical support for our stakeholders
Required Skills And Qualifications:

A degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is mandatory or equivalent.

2-5 years of relevant experience in hands-on coding

Experience in NodeJS, Typescript/Javascript

Comfortable with sql and Nosql database technology: e.g. MySql/Postgresql, MongoDB/Dynamodb

Foundation-level knowledge and programming experience with fintech lending is a plus

Experience building and deploying applications and services into cloud environments (AWS stack)
