Job Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Oracle Database Administrator with extensive experience in managing and maintaining large-scale database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce database security policies, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data.
  • Perform routine database maintenance activities, including tablespace management, datapump operations, and log file purging.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks related to query response times and other database operations.
  • Collaborate with Oracle Support to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Monitor standby databases and address any discrepancies or errors.
  • Design and implement robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Take ownership of database design and implementation, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Implement and maintain database security protocols, including user management, role assignment, and privilege escalation.
  • Provide expert-level technical support to development teams, resolving complex issues and providing guidance on best practices.
  • Interface with Oracle Corporation to access advanced technical support and resources.
  • Conduct thorough database tuning and performance monitoring to optimize system efficiency.
  • Apply similar expertise to application tuning and performance monitoring.
  • Clone DEV and TEST environments from PROD on a regular basis.
  • Support code migrations to functional consultants and assist with troubleshooting.
  • Manage tickets raised by users, both functional and technical.
  • Address alerts generated by the alert monitoring system for both database and application-related issues.
  • Analyze patches and apply them using the online patch cycle as scheduled.
  • Execute cloning tasks according to predefined schedules.
