Cloud and Infrastructure Security Implementation

We are seeking a seasoned AWS security expert to join our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of AWS core services and cloud-native security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement secure configurations across AWS cloud and on-premise datacentre environments.
  • SUPPORT DEPLOYMENT OF SECURITY TOOLS ACROSS ENDPOINTS, SERVERS, IDENTITY SYSTEMS, AND CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE.
  • Participate in business-as-usual (BAU) activities including vulnerability management, patching processes, and deployment of Standard Operating Environments (SOEs).
  • Collaborate with business units to create and execute deployment plans for new security capabilities, ensuring alignment with security standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Harden cloud and infrastructure environments using insights from third-party tools.
  • Define and maintain secure cloud practices, ensuring effectiveness of reference architectures.
  • Work closely with architecture teams, platform owners, and key stakeholders to gather endorsement, align on strategic direction, and support implementation of security initiatives.
  • Identify infrastructure and cloud-related risks or issues. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve the organization's overall security posture.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate and select appropriate cloud services based on performance, cost, data classification, and security requirements.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the IT industry.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in AWS environments.
  • Deep understanding of AWS core services and cloud-native security best practices.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and auditing tools.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management, patching, and SOE deployments.
  • Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Security Specialty).
  • Sound knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls).
  • Understanding of secure application lifecycle management and containerized application environments.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (technical and non-technical audiences).
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage workload independently.
