About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in developing our Next Generation Firewall. This role will involve designing and enhancing our Reassembly-Free Deep Packet Inspection engine, Intrusion Prevention, Gateway Anti-Virus, and other related features.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C programming, TCP/IP networking, and Unix/Linux systems. They should also be proficient in coding data structures and algorithms, possess good problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently to deliver results.
Responsibilities
- Design and enhance SonicWall's Reassembly-Free Deep Packet Inspection engine.
- Develop and implement Intrusion Prevention, Gateway Anti-Virus, and other related features of our Next Generation firewall.
- Maintain and document code using source control systems and other tools.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software development, preferably in cybersecurity.
- A Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Fluent in C programming and proficient in coding various data structures and algorithms.
- Strong background in TCP/IP networking and Unix/Linux systems.
- Persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
