Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Native DevOps Engineer to design and implement our enterprise-grade cloud-native infrastructure using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in architecture and automation, as well as strategic direction on AKS adoption, DevOps tooling and cloud-native best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define end-to-end architecture for AKS-based workloads in Azure.
  • Design multi-environment, multi-region AKS architectures for high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Establish best practices for container orchestration, scaling and governance in AKS.
  • Advise on cost optimization strategies for AKS and related Azure resources.

Azure & AKS Expertise:

  • Architect and provision AKS clusters with features like autoscaling, private cluster configuration, network isolation and managed identities.
  • Integrate AKS with supporting Azure services such as Azure Monitor, Managed Prometheus and Grafana.

DevOps & Automation:

  • Design Infrastructure as Code solutions with Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates for AKS provisioning.
  • Implement GitOps workflows for automated deployments.
  • Define CI/CD architecture using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or Jenkins for AKS workloads.

Security & Compliance:

  • Architect RBAC and Azure AD security models for AKS access.
  • Integrate security scanning for container images and Kubernetes workloads.

Monitoring, Logging & Observability:

  • Architect observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Managed Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Establish automated alerting, anomaly detection and incident response playbooks.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in DevOps, Cloud Architecture or related roles.
  • 5+ years hands-on Azure experience, with deep AKS expertise.
  • Strong technical expertise in Kubernetes architecture, Azure networking, IaC tools and container security.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • Experience with service mesh architectures and multi-cluster management tools.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills for technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to lead design workshops and architecture reviews.
  • Strategic problem-solver with hands-on implementation skills.
