We are looking for a skilled developer to create a mobile application that will help farmers manage and monitor their herds efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have experience in building mobile apps using React Native, proficiency in the Typescript ecosystem, including monorepos, and a thorough understanding of interface guidelines for Apple and Android apps.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing the product's mobile app
  • Developing the application's front-end interfaces
  • Collaborating with the company founders, product team, and API engineers

Required skills and qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in building mobile apps using React Native
  • Proficient in the Typescript ecosystem, including monorepos
  • Thorough understanding of interface guidelines for Apple and Android apps
  • Able to debug and optimize complex systems
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Bonus points if you have:

  • Familiarity with our mapping libraries in React Native or Native frameworks
  • Understanding of the native iOS and Android ecosystems
  • Good knowledge of UX best practices for SaaS-based interfaces & AI
  • Contributed to open-source projects

Your first six months will be focused on building a mobile app that allows farmers to see their farm map with multiple layers and annotations. You will also be working with various aspects of the map feature, creating virtual polygons to plot the region for their farms on the map, annotating the polygons with points of interest, generating heat maps of the farm livestock activity, and integrating with APIs to let farmers view their livestock on the map.
