We are seeking skilled professionals to fill the role of Laboratory Educator at our esteemed institution.

This position involves assisting faculty members in delivering practical sessions, maintaining lab safety, and ensuring the availability and calibration of lab equipment.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting and supervising laboratory sessions for undergraduate students in allied and healthcare programs.
  • They will assist in preparation, demonstration, and evaluation of practical skills aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Maintenance of laboratory equipment, inventory, and timely calibration and servicing is also a crucial aspect of this role.
  • The Laboratory Educator will enforce safety protocols, infection control measures, and proper waste disposal practices.
  • Collaboration with academic faculty to align laboratory content with theoretical components of the course is essential.
  • Providing technical support to students during skill development and internal assessments is also a key responsibility.
  • Participation in curriculum review and development of new laboratory manuals is another critical function of this position.
  • Maintaining documentation for laboratory sessions, stock registers, and compliance audits is also required.
  • Facilitating internal and external practical examinations and simulations is an additional duty of the Laboratory Educator.

To be eligible for this role, applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Allied and Healthcare field from a recognized university. A Master's Degree or additional certifications can be advantageous.

Minimum two years of relevant experience in a laboratory/clinical setting or academic institution is required. Prior experience in academic instruction is desirable.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication and instructional skills, proficiency in handling laboratory equipment, familiarity with regulatory standards, and basic computer literacy for academic documentation and report generation.
