Generative AI Internship Overview
Granicus is seeking talented and motivated individuals to participate in our generative AI internship program. This unique opportunity allows you to gain hands-on experience in the cutting-edge field of generative AI, working alongside our experienced professionals.

Duration and Eligibility
This internship is a full-time commitment, lasting between 3 to 6 months. To be eligible, you must be a full-time student currently enrolled in a degree program related to Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a closely related field. Alternatively, recent graduates (within the last 6 months) with a degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a closely related field are also eligible.

Responsibilities and Requirements
As a generative AI intern, your responsibilities will include assisting our team in developing and implementing generative AI applications and proof-of-concepts. You will work with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and other related techniques. Additionally, you will participate in the design and development of user interfaces and experiences (UI/UX) for LLM-powered applications. Your tasks will also involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Furthermore, you will conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in the field of generative AI.
Key requirements for this role include a strong foundation in computer science, programming (Python), and data structures. You should have good knowledge and understanding of generative AI tools and services, including LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG. Familiarity with machine learning techniques, algorithms, and frameworks is also essential. Experience with UI/UX design and development for web or mobile applications is highly desirable. You should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also required. Passion for learning and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies is essential for success in this role.

Commitment and Additional Qualifications
This internship is a full-time commitment, and interns are expected to dedicate their efforts exclusively to Granicus during the internship period. Interns are not permitted to work on any other assignments or projects with other organizations during the internship. Additional qualifications for this role include familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience with version control systems (Git) is also beneficial. Knowledge of agile development methodologies is a plus.
