About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic Social Media Editor to drive our engagement strategies across platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing our presence on various social media platforms, driving engagement, and growing our online audience.

This role demands a creative thinker with a deep understanding of social media trends, audience behavior, and digital storytelling.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Curate, create, and schedule engaging content across all social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to repurpose and promote news articles, opinion pieces, interviews, features, and multimedia content relevant to regional affairs, politics, education, careers, culture.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in social media management, preferably within the news/media or education industry.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web traffic metrics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, etc.
  • Creative thinking with a strong sense of newsworthiness and timing.
