We are seeking a talented Documentation Specialist to join our team

Job Description:

As a Documentation Specialist, you will play a key role in creating and revising technical documentation for electro-mechanical assemblies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all documentation meets industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality guidelines.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and revise Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPC), Service Bulletins, and Temporary Revisions for electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Write procedures and functional descriptions by interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and circuit diagrams.
  • Evaluate and ensure all documentation complies with industry standards (e.g., ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D) and regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA).
  • Familiarity with structured documentation formats such as XML or SGML is desired.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Illustrator, IsoDraw CAD Process, or CorelDRAW for technical illustrations is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ATA 100, ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D, and Simplified Technical English is required.
  • Understanding of S1000D data module structure and CGM/SVG integration for illustrations is essential.
  • Experience working with CAD tools like CATIA V5, UG (NX), and SolidWorks to generate accurate visuals is beneficial.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., technical writing, engineering). Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical documentation, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply industry standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of structured documentation formats (e.g., XML, SGML).
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
