Senior Control Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Control Assurance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls across various banking operations.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of internal controls, risk management frameworks, and governance principles. They will also possess excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex processes and identify control points.

Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls within various banking processes.
  • Developing comprehensive control test plans, scripts, and procedures based on identified risks, regulatory requirements, and control objectives.
  • Executing control tests rigorously across a range of banking functions, gathering evidence and evaluating the operating effectiveness of key controls.
  • Documenting test results, findings, and identified control deficiencies clearly and concisely.
  • Identifying control weaknesses, breakdowns, or gaps and collaborating with process owners and risk management teams to propose and track the implementation of effective remediation plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of internal controls, risk management frameworks, and governance principles.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with banking systems, core banking applications, and relevant data analysis tools is a plus.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in any specialization.
  • Postgraduate degree is preferred.
