Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to design, develop and deploy end-to-end data pipelines on the AWS cloud infrastructure.

  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and building data pipelines on AWS cloud infrastructure, with a strong proficiency in AWS services such as Amazon S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda and Amazon Redshift.
  • The selected individual will be responsible for implementing data processing and transformation workflows using Apache Spark and SQL to support analytics and reporting requirements.
  • The role requires collaboration with analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
  • The successful candidate will optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability and cost-effectiveness, leveraging AWS best practices and cloud-native technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and deploy large-scale data processing pipelines in a production environment.
  • Design and build data pipelines on AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Implement data processing and transformation workflows using Apache Spark and SQL.
  • Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in data engineering.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and building data pipelines on AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong experience with Apache Spark for data processing and analytics.
  • Hands-on experience on orchestrating and scheduling data pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, database design principles and SQL.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AWS services including Amazon S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda and Amazon Redshift.
  • Experience with Apache Spark for data processing and analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with orchestrating and scheduling data pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
