Job Description

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced legal professional to fill the role of Assistant Manager/Manager Legal. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting business teams in drafting, vetting, and negotiating agreements related to business development, international business, trusts, and other activities.

The ideal candidate will have excellent negotiation skills, strong communication and drafting abilities, and a deep understanding of how business operates with high degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas. They must be able to work independently and influence all levels of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Agreements: Drafting, structuring, vetting, negotiating, and finalizing agreements in line with the business understanding and ensuring appropriate risk mitigation for the Company.
  • Statutory Compliances: Reviewing statutory compliances at various locations and suggesting remedial measures. Working with concerned stakeholders to ensure remedial measures are put in place in a timely manner.
  • Risk Mitigation: Understanding the business and analyzing the risk involved and advising on mitigating liabilities for the Company.
  • Advisory: Advising stakeholders from time to time on various issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: LL.B. / LL.M.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation skills, business and financial acumen, strong communications and drafting skills, well-versed in how business operates with high degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas, ability to influence across all levels of the business including peers and senior management, detail-oriented, good judgement, sound risk mitigating skills.
