Founding Senior Fullstack Engineer

We are seeking a senior full-stack engineer to play a pivotal role in our organization. This individual will be responsible for implementing and rolling out new features, making key architectural decisions, and setting up development best practices.

The Role

As a founding senior full-stack engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Implementing and rolling out new features to production
  • Making key architectural decisions
  • Setting up development best practices, deployment processes, and instrumenting performance and reliability issues

You will help make our product highly scalable and available, take ownership of larger initiatives, identify new opportunities for growth and responsibility, and mentor and inspire junior engineers.

Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar required
  • 4 years of experience in full-stack development, emphasis on back-end Java, JavaScript, and web technologies (HTML, CSS, etc.)
  • SQL and experience with relational databases like Postgres and MySQL
  • Solid programming skills, deep understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Experience with Java frameworks like Spring and SpringBoot preferred
  • Familiarity with cloud-based software development, AWS preferred

Bonus points for founder mindset, lead/staff software engineer experience, prior experience at a fast-paced start-up, experience building APIs from scratch, and knowledge of our tech stack including Spring Boot, React.js, MUI, Auth0, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, Terraform, AWS, Docker, Fargate, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
