**Job Role:** Equity Research Associate

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support research analysts in analyzing industry groups and individual companies within an assigned sector.
  • Analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, cash flow statements, income statements, and calculate financial ratios.
  • Conduct broad quantitative and qualitative analysis and research, utilizing historical model building and developing projections.
  • Maintain databases and spreadsheet models to provide relative value analysis and recommend investment opportunities.
  • Assist in report writing, including initiating coverage reports, company profiles, quarterly updates, and sector reports; prepare other deliverables such as client presentations.
  • Expected to write reports independently, with the goal of transitioning to a writing analyst role.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with database management and spreadsheet modeling.
  • Knowledge of financial markets and instruments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
