Job Title : Backend Systems Architect

Location : Bangalore (Hybrid Work Model)

Experience Required : 6+ Years


As a senior backend systems architect, this role involves designing and developing scalable backend systems using industry best practices and modern technologies. The position requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a collaborative approach to deliver high-impact business solutions. The role also involves mentoring team members, ensuring coding standards, and driving engineering excellence across projects.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Design and implement scalable backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
  • Leverage cloud-native solutions with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and DynamoDB.
  • Apply reusable code patterns, follow design principles, and enforce development best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define solutions, and deliver high-quality results.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend-related issues efficiently.
  • Guide and mentor other engineers to enhance team skills, productivity, and alignment with project goals.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure high quality and maintainable code.
  • Contribute to technical decision-making, architecture discussions, and process improvements.
  • Work independently and drive initiatives with minimal supervision.

Required Skills and Experience :
  • Minimum 6+ years of hands-on backend development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment and services.
  • Experience with both RESTful APIs and GraphQL architecture and integration.
  • Familiarity with best practices in performance optimization, security, and maintainability.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions, make architectural decisions, and own end-to-end backend delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring development teams and supporting engineering growth.
  • Strong analytical thinking, debugging, and communication skills.
