Job Title:

A Database Administrator is required to manage and maintain a database environment.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Database Administrator to join our organization. The successful candidate will have experience in SQL Server management, including high availability technologies such as Failover clustering, AlwaysOn Groups, and mirroring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets business Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)
  • Test backups to ensure we can meet business Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)
  • Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages
  • Configure SQL Server monitoring utilities
  • Install and configure new SQL Servers
  • Deploy database change scripts provided by third party vendors
  • Document the companys database environment
Requirements:
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2022
  • Production Support Activities (Installation, Upgradation and Troubleshooting)
  • Performance Tuning & troubleshooting
  • SQL Server migration
  • Knowledge of T-SQL Scripts for Administration and Monitoring tasks
Desirable Skills:
  • Strong fundamentals of SQL
  • Good knowledge of Always on and high availability
  • Microsoft Clustering services (MSCS) knowledge
  • Operating System knowledge (2008, 2012, 2016, 2019)
