Lead Cyber Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Consultant to join our team. As a Cyber Security Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on cyber security matters to clients across various industries.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting threat and risk analysis to identify potential vulnerabilities in our systems and technologies;
- Implementing vulnerability assessments and configuring audits of operating systems, web servers, and databases to detect patterns of malicious activities;
- Performing research, testing, evaluation, and deployment of security technology and procedures to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of client data;
- Developing custom systems for specialized security features and procedures for software systems, networks, data centers, and hardware;
- Developing and implementing information security standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations;
- Developing firewalls to secure network infrastructure and protecting against unauthorized access;
- Maintaining current knowledge of new intrusion methods and developing protection plans to stay one step ahead of cyber criminals;
- Conducting counteractive protocols and reporting incidents to senior management;
- Reviewing anti-virus systems and consoles and conducting software upgrades/patches to ensure maximum security; and
- Managing relationships and coordinating with clients and service providers while providing customized security assessments, implementing security policies, designing security training materials, organizing training sessions, providing technical support, and communicating security policies and procedures.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop new protocols, layers of protection, and other both proactive and defensive systems that stay one step ahead of cyber criminals.

The ideal candidate should have strong critical thinking, problem-solving, logic, and forensics skills and be able to think like a hacker to stay one step ahead.

Key Requirements:
- Degree or advanced qualification in Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field;
- Certifications from recognized global bodies (CEH/CISSP/CCNA etc);
- 5+ years experience in cybersecurity at a mid- to large-size business providing consulting services to clients;
- Strong knowledge of IT, including hardware, software, and networks;
- A meticulous eye for detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, logic, and forensics skills;
- Ability to work successfully in both individual and team settings;
- Ability to think like a hacker to stay one step ahead.
