About Us

We're looking for Backend developers with a passion for building scalable applications. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team responsible for a product transforming the delivery of critical care. You'll work with talented engineers, designers, and researchers focused on building our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for delivering the application/feature/module your team works on.
  • Write and review code daily, pair with team members on functional and non-functional requirements, and share design philosophy, goals, and improvements to code quality across the team.
  • Ensure all code is thoroughly covered by automated tests and that all features meet quality checks before deployment.
  • Contribute to the constant improvement of practices and processes in the team.
  • Build and manage automated build/test/deployment environments.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, Mobile, DevOps, UX, Data Science, Data Engineering, QA) to define and execute the feature roadmap.
  • Research new technologies and tools and share learning with the rest of the team.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to other team members, including new hires.
  • Bonus: Previous experience in Healthcare/health tech or a startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience in Node.js and MongoDB.
  • Experience and knowledge of WebSockets, Caching (Redis), Message Queues or Pub/Sub (Kafka).
  • Experience in REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, authentication/authorization.
  • Experience in Git or another version control system.
  • You are a problem solver with exceptional analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of data structures (list, graphs, maps) and their advantages or disadvantages.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment, successfully handle ambiguity, and have experience working with Agile methodologies, unit tests, and tech documentation.
  • You have good written and oral communication skills, with an ability to handle both executive-level discussions as well as technical deep dives.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is around $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
