Job Overview

The role of a senior associate in assurance involves providing support to the audit team by conducting procedures and tests in accordance with the RSM audit methodology. This includes identifying areas of risk and accounting and auditing issues, discussing solutions with engagement teams, and preparing audit reports and management letters.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and demonstrate an understanding of the RSM audit approach, methodology, and tools.
  • Perform audit procedures and tests in accordance with the overall audit plan, ensuring proper documentation of work performed.
  • Identify areas of risk and accounting and auditing issues, discuss with engagement teams to solve issues that arise.
  • Prepare audit reports, management letters, exercising professional skepticism, judgment, and adhere to the code of ethics while on engagements.
  • Ensure documentation is compliant with quality standards of the firm.
  • Work collaboratively as a part of the team and communicate effectively with RSM audit professionals.
  • Provide supervision and development training for associates, taking ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables to ensure service excellence through prompt responses to internal and external clients.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Semi Qualified ACCA/CPA or Qualified CA/ACCA/Licensed CPA with 2-4 years of relevant experience working in an accounting and audit-related field specifically NFP industry. Strong technical skills in accounting including IFRS or GAAP and GAAS are necessary. Data analytical skills including advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas), Word, and PowerPoint are also required. Multi-tasking and project management skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, are essential for this role.
