The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of API design principles, including defining endpoints, data formats, and authentication methods while considering security, performance, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new REST APIs and Kafka event services
  • Define endpoints, data formats, and authentication methods
  • Translate business requirements into API design
  • Build integration solutions with IBM MDM AE product, MongoDB, and Kafka
  • Implement API design best practices and modern API design patterns
  • Support technical planning, estimation, development, testing, and UAT support
  • Participate in production incident analysis and issue resolution
  • Work in an Agile environment using JIRA and Confluence tools

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of professional experience in designing and developing REST APIs and other Data Streaming services
  • Strong knowledge of Java Spring Boot and Kafka
  • Experience with Oracle, MongoDB, and SQL
  • Technical writing skills and good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
