Electrical Design Engineer

  • A key member of the engineering team responsible for designing and optimizing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) to meet customer requirements.
  • You will work closely with colleagues to provide technical expertise in design implementation, ensuring high-quality PCBs are delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret Electrical/Electronic Schematics to ensure accurate design implementation, considering factors like signal integrity, power integrity, and safety.
  • Develop detailed fabrication drawings of PCBs and Gerber files for efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Design and develop hardware documentation covering analysis, notes, and specific guidelines for high-performance/bandwidth PCBs.
  • Perform PCB layout for analog, digital, and RF circuit boards through fabrication and assembly drawings generation.
  • Be responsible for transferring schematic net-list design into the physical PCB design, taking into account electrical considerations.
  • Manage PCB documentation, including fabrication and assembly drawings, Gerber files, and coordinate PCB layout approval.
  • Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and fabrication documentation while following revision control procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Design, Electronics Engineering, Embedded System Engineering, ECE, or ETC.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience using PCB designing tools from KiCAD, ISIS, ARES, Allegro, or similar industry-standard tools.
  • Familiarity with PCB failure modes and reliability in extreme environments and ability to resolve issues arising from these.
  • Excellent knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and materials, as well as fundamentals of digital and analog circuit design.
  • Strong logic/board debug, analytical skills, and effective communication skills.
