Job Title: WordPress Developer

At Procreator - Digital Design Agency, we are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to join our team. As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing bespoke websites that enhance user experience and reflect brand identity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Theme Development & Customization: Build, customize, and modify WordPress themes to meet client specifications while ensuring seamless functionality and attractive design.
  • Plugin Development & Customization: Develop and customize WordPress plugins to enhance site functionality, integrating systems such as CRM or ecommerce platforms.
  • WordPress REST API: Utilize WordPress REST API to create custom integrations and connect WordPress with external systems like mobile apps or third-party websites.
  • Troubleshooting & Bug Fixing: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve WordPress issues, ensuring a smooth user experience and system stability.
  • Frontend Development: Work with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery to design responsive and visually appealing user interfaces.
  • Database & Backend Management: Manage backend functionality using PHP and MySQL to create and maintain efficient and secure databases.
  • Version Control (Git): Utilize Git for version control, managing code changes, and collaborating with the development team on new features and updates.
  • SEO & Performance Optimization: Implement best practices for WordPress site performance, including page speed optimization and SEO strategies.

Requirements:

  • Must-Have Qualifications:
    • Proven experience creating custom WordPress themes and modifying existing ones.
    • Experience developing or customizing WordPress plugins to expand functionality.
    • Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery in WordPress development.
    • Experience working with version control systems like Git.
    • Familiarity with troubleshooting and debugging in WordPress environments.
    • Understanding of WordPress REST API and experience with custom integrations.
  • Good to Have Skills:
    • Experience with custom post types and taxonomies to organize site content.
    • Knowledge of writing custom WordPress hooks, functions, and actions.
    • Familiarity with WooCommerce or other ecommerce platforms.
    • Experience implementing WordPress security and performance optimization techniques.
    • Understanding of common security vulnerabilities in WordPress and how to address them.
    • Experience in applying SEO best practices to WordPress sites.
