Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Visualization Engineer to join our team at Genpact. This role involves designing and developing highly interactive and insightful Power BI reports and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advanced Reporting Solutions: Design, develop, and deploy advanced Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements.
  • Data Insights: For a given dataset, the visualization engineer should be able to tell the product owners what all insights they can provide.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and create meaningful data visualizations that provide actionable insights.
  • Data Modeling: Perform data modeling and create relationships between disparate data sources for optimal reporting.
  • Complex Calculations: Write and optimize complex DAX calculations for creating custom measures, calculated columns, and aggregation logic in Power BI.
  • ETL Processes: Work on ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Power BI using tools like Power Query, SSIS, or Python-based solutions.
  • Integration: Ensure seamless integration of Power Platform components such as Power Apps and Power Automate to enhance interactivity within reports and automate workflows.
  • Data Pipeline Development: Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to build efficient data pipelines that support large datasets and advanced analytics.
  • Custom Analytics: Utilize Python for data wrangling, statistical analysis, and embedding custom analytics into Power BI dashboards.
  • Quality and Governance: Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are met in all reporting solutions.
  • User Support: Provide technical support and best practices guidance to business users on Power BI usage and report optimization.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in designing and developing Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
  • Power BI Skills: Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX.
  • Data Modeling: Strong knowledge of data modeling and creating relationships between data sources within Power BI.
  • Power Platform: Familiarity with Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate) and experience integrating them with Power BI.
  • ETL Tools: Hands-on experience with ETL processes using tools like Power Query, SSIS, or Python-based solutions.
  • SQL and Python: Solid knowledge of SQL and experience querying data from various sources (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.). Experience in Python scripting for data manipulation and advanced analytics.
  • Data Governance: Strong understanding of data governance, security, and role-based access control in Power BI.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
