About this role:

We are seeking a skilled Instrument and Electrical Specialist to join our team. As an Instrument and Electrical Specialist, you will lead the effort to develop and manage maintenance strategies for field instrumentation equipment.

The successful candidate will support asset reliability by developing and assigning appropriate equipment strategy, and act as the primary point of contact for overseeing the equipment strategy assignment and collaborating with team members to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform engineering activities covering all key areas of instrumentation technology including field instruments, control and shutdown valves, analyzers, and control systems.
  • Review and update equipment maintenance strategy for instrumentation (e.g. Transmitters, control valves, flow meters, analyzers).
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure alignment of maintenance strategies with operational priorities.
  • Understand asset criticality analysis and asset strategy management.
  • Understand Preventive, Predictive, Condition monitoring tasks with respect to assets.
  • Standardize instrumentation maintenance procedure and test intervals across similar asset classes.
  • Knowledge of hazardous area classification, international instrumentation standards.
  • Skilled Instrument Maintenance Technician with understanding of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of field instrumentation, including control valves, on-off valves, various field instruments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical or related field.
  • Minimum 6-10 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance, preferably in a process industry environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation technology, including field instruments, control and shutdown valves, analyzers, and control systems.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure effective maintenance strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret technical data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
