Quality Management System

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the implementation of a quality management system and its effectiveness in meeting business, statutory, legal, and contractual requirements.

This role involves engaging with business stakeholders to manage compliance to requirements, supporting a resilient business that manages risks effectively. The position is a key enabler to change and business improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Delivers delegated elements of an annual business plan to time and budget.
  2. Manages and facilitates external certification audits.
  3. Supports achievement of new certifications where appropriate.
  4. Organises and facilitates internal audits in the audit programme.
  5. Responsible for conducting audits and producing audit reports.
  6. Undertakes investigations and root cause analysis of instances of non-conformance, including the identification of corrective measures and long-term preventative measures.
  7. Responsible for reviewing management system content for appropriateness, improvement, and implementation.
  8. Participation in the identification of new systems and processes to drive efficiency.
  9. Responsible for ensuring information for quality reports is available, accurate and delivered within agreed timescales.
  10. Responsible to produce communication articles, plans and communication collateral.
  11. Responsible for contributing to all activities reported in management reviews, collating, analysing, and presenting data and key metrics.
  12. Provides recommendations for action to mitigate risk and improve management system effectiveness.
  13. Provides support to business development activities.
  14. Responsible for the development and delivery of training.
  15. Monitors performance of a supply chain, including support to suppliers as appropriate through training, guidance, and audits of their QMS capabilities.
  16. Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil.
  • Certification in QA/QC.
  • Experience of leading the quality function on site for a project of similar nature from start to handover.
