Career Opportunity: Backend Engineer

Shape the backend of a live, regulated financial platform built across the Middle East.

This is an urgent hire for a full-time contract role focused on core features, transactions, and secure APIs all powering a product built for real customers and regulatory scrutiny.

The Role:

  • Owning backend delivery in a TypeScript/AWS environment.
  • Cleaning up and extending areas of a live codebase.
  • Working on financial workflows like KYC, servicing, and withdrawals building the APIs and systems that handle real money.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Building and extending backend services using TypeScript/Node.js.
  • Writing transactional business logic for financial flows.
  • Designing and maintaining PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, and queries.
  • Integrating with third-party APIs securely.
  • Improving existing systems for performance, reliability, and audit requirements.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
