Job Opportunity:

Dayananda Sagar University invites applications for a Research Professor position in the Department of Computer Science Engineering.

The successful candidate will lead advanced research projects, mentor PhD scholars, and contribute to the university's mission of research excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and coordinate high-impact research projects in Computer Science Engineering.
  • Publish original research in leading international journals and present at premier conferences.
  • Guide and mentor PhD scholars and research students in their research work and development.
  • Secure external research funding through grants, consultancy, and collaboration with industry partners.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary research and foster collaborations within the department and university.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and conferences to promote research culture.
  • Provide expert advice on research policy, strategy, and development within the department and university.
  • Contribute to academic leadership and participate in research-focused committees and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Computer Science Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
  • At least 15 years of experience in research, teaching, or industry.
  • Demonstrated excellence in research through publications in reputable journals and conferences.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale research projects and secure funding.
  • Experience in supervising doctoral research scholars.
  • Strong expertise in key areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or related fields.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Strong network with academic and industry research organizations.
  • Experience in patenting, technology transfer, or entrepreneurship is an advantage.
  • Commitment to fostering a dynamic and inclusive research environment.
  • Ability to work in interdisciplinary and international research teams.
