Job Opportunity:

Rail domain testing plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of transportation systems. As a Python Test Automation Engineer, you will contribute to developing and maintaining test automation frameworks for embedded systems onboard locomotives.

  • You will be responsible for performing system and integration testing of locomotive onboard systems, including Positive Train Control (PTC) and IETMS testing.
  • The successful candidate will develop and maintain Python-based test automation frameworks to ensure robust validation of rail control systems.
  • This position involves analyzing system requirements, creating detailed test plans, and executing manual and automated tests.
  • The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with development teams to resolve issues and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in rail systems.
  • Candidates should also be familiar with hardware and software teams to validate end-to-end functionality.
  • Maintaining accurate records of test results is essential for this role.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6-9 years of experience in rail domain testing, specifically PTC (Positive Train Control) and IETMS.
  • Hands-on experience in Python test automation is required.
  • Proficiency in embedded systems and real-time testing environments is necessary.
  • Familiarity with rail safety standards and protocols is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities are necessary for success.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
