Job Overview

 

We are seeking a skilled engineer to design and implement automated migration pipelines for moving enterprise Kafka workloads to open-source or cloud-native clusters.

 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for scripting and provisioning migration steps, automating validation, rollback, and monitoring tasks. Additionally, you will develop and integrate custom plugins for Kafka Connect as part of migration workflows.

 

You will also build scalable CI/CD processes for Kafka resource provisioning and configuration rollouts, ensuring data integrity, performance, and integration interfaces post-migration.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated migration pipelines for moving enterprise Kafka workloads to open-source or cloud-native clusters.
  • Script and provision migration steps, automate validation, rollback, and monitoring tasks.
  • Develop and integrate custom plugins for Kafka Connect as part of migration workflows.
  • Build scalable CI/CD processes for Kafka resource provisioning and configuration rollouts.

 

Requirements:

  • Expertise in CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Go, and Bash.
  • Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of monitoring/validation tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Understanding of automation of rollback/validation steps for migrations.
  • Exposure to cloud services such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Passion for data ops and security automation.
