Job Title: Data Engineer - Cloud Computing Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled data engineer to join our team and lead the design, development, and implementation of complex data systems. As a data engineer, you will work closely with our data science team to build innovative algorithms that provide valuable insights into our data.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing data pipelines that clean, transform, and aggregate data from disparate sources;
  • Developing models that can be used to make predictions and answer questions for the overall business;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implementing solutions;
  • Ensuring data quality and integrity by developing and maintaining data validation rules and performing regular data audits;
  • Providing technical guidance and support to other teams and stakeholders as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3 or more years of experience with Python, SQL, and data visualization/exploration tools;
  • Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Google Cloud Bigdata toolset BigQuery, Airflow, CI/CD with Google Cloud;
  • Knowledge of industry-wide visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau and R;
  • Experience with Spark, Hive, and Linux operating system;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
