Job Description

The Shift Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing all activities during the assigned shift to ensure seamless production, compliance with safety and quality standards, and achievement of operational targets. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring efficient use of resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shift Operations Management:
• To achieve optimal efficiency, monitor equipment, processes, and workforce.
• Ensure proper handover between shifts with accurate documentation.

• Team Supervision:
• Assign tasks to team members and ensure proper utilization of manpower.
• Train, guide, and supervise the workforce to maintain high productivity and compliance.
• Handle shift rosters, attendance, and leave management.

• Quality Assurance:
• Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure product quality.
• Conduct regular checks to identify deviations in quality or processes.

• Safety and Compliance:
• Promote a culture of safety within the team.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during the shift.
• Report incidents or near misses and take corrective actions promptly.

• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
• Identify and resolve operational issues during the shift.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime caused by equipment failure.

• Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain shift logs, production reports, and incident records.
• Communicate effectively with the next shift and management regarding shift activities and challenges.

• Continuous Improvement:
• Identify areas for process optimization and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss operational challenges and share best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

Analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.

2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in a supervisory role.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
