Job Title: GIS Developer

Location: Remote - India

Employment type: Full-time

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled GIS Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing GIS solutions, publishing and administering map services using GeoServer and ArcGIS Server, and maintaining and administering geodatabases using PostGIS and ArcGIS GeoDBs.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement GIS solutions using industry-leading technologies
  • Publish and administer map services using GeoServer and ArcGIS Server
  • Maintain and administer geodatabases using PostGIS and ArcGIS GeoDBs
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience as a software developer implementing GIS solutions
  • Experience with industry-leading GIS technologies such as GeoServer, ArcGIS Server, PostGIS, and ArcGIS GeoDBs
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and TypeScript
  • Ability to work in an agile environment using Scrum and Kanban

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working with ESRI APIs and tools (ArcObjects, Geoprocessing, ArcGIS Desktop/Server/Portal, ArcGIS Online)
  • Knowledge of web frameworks such as Angular, React, Node.js, and Openlayers
  • Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL
