IT and Network Expertise

smartSense Consulting Solutions is seeking a highly skilled IT and Network Expert to drive the success of our organization. As a critical member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in defining our network strategy and ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Setup

Design and implement the IT infrastructure for our new office, including networking, servers, and workstations, while collaborating with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and efficient deployment.

Network Security

Implement and manage robust firewall configurations to safeguard our data and systems, monitor and respond to security incidents, and ensure the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.

Communication Systems

Deploy and maintain an effective intercom system for seamless communication within the office, and collaborate with telecommunications providers to optimize connectivity and ensure reliable communication channels.

Switching and Routing

Configure and manage L2 and L3 switches to optimize network performance and ensure scalability, and troubleshoot network issues to minimize downtime.

ISMS Processes

Establish and maintain Information Security Management System (ISMS) processes to safeguard our organization against cyber threats, conduct regular risk assessments, and implement necessary controls to mitigate potential security risks.

System Maintenance

Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure all systems are running at peak efficiency, and conduct routine system audits to implement improvements and enhance overall performance.

Documentation and Training

Develop comprehensive documentation for IT systems, processes, and procedures, and provide training and support to end-users on IT best practices and security awareness.

Vendor Management

Engage with IT vendors to ensure timely delivery of services and resolve any issues that may arise, and evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance the IT infrastructure.

Hardware Troubleshooting

Diagnose and resolve hardware issues in laptops from major manufacturers, including Apple, Lenovo, HP, and Dell, and have experience with troubleshooting hardware components such as processors, memory, storage, and peripherals.

Operating Systems

Expertise in troubleshooting and providing technical support for both Windows and Ubuntu operating systems on laptops, and ability to resolve software-related issues, install updates, and optimize system performance.

Device Compatibility

In-depth knowledge of ensuring compatibility between various laptop models and operating systems, and familiarity with drivers and firmware updates to enhance device functionality.

Remote Support

Proven experience in providing remote support for laptop-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption for remote or traveling employees, and utilize remote assistance tools effectively to troubleshoot and resolve problems.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, proven experience as a Senior IT Administrator or similar role, in-depth knowledge of networking protocols, security frameworks, and system administration, and strong expertise in configuring and managing firewalls, L2/L3 switches, and intercom systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Azure / Cloud advanced routing experience is a plus.
