Key Opportunities

We are seeking a Senior CAD Designer with extensive SolidWorks expertise to develop thermoformed interior components for the railway industry.

This is a senior-level role that requires not just CAD skills but deep engineering understanding, strong customer communication, and the ability to deliver manufacturable, cost-optimized solutions while minimizing changes to tooling.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in CAD design for thermoformed plastic components.
  • SolidWorks expert level surface modeling, assemblies, tool-related adjustments.
  • Strong background in railway, automotive, or transportation interiors.
  • Knowledge of plastics material properties, tooling, and production processes.
  • Ability to translate conceptual sketches into manufacturable designs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing interior thermoformed panels for trains using SolidWorks.
  • Translating customer rough concepts and specifications into production-ready 3D and 2D designs.
  • Adapting panel designs to changing project requirements while ensuring minimal tool modifications.
  • Engineering the rear side construction of panels, including reinforcements, ventilation solutions, and mounting details.
