Automation Framework Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated automation frameworks using a variety of tools including Playwright, Selenium, Appium, and Cypress.

They will work closely with product and development teams to ensure seamless integration of automation into our CI/CD pipeline.

A strong proficiency in Java or similar languages is required along with mastery of test automation tools and experience designing scalable automation frameworks from scratch.

Experience integrating automated testing with CI/CD pipelines and maintaining high coverage and rapid feedback is also necessary.

Additionally, the ideal candidate should have knowledge of agentic testing applications, practical use of Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI in testing, and a willingness to experiment with the latest QA tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated automation frameworks and robust test suites for web, mobile, and API applications.
  • Implement advanced test strategies—functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing powered by agentic AI and large language models (LLMs).
  • Collaborate with product, development, and QA teams to define intelligent test coverage leveraging AI-driven agents, automated defect tracking, and dynamic reporting.
  • Drive CI/CD pipeline integration for scalable automation; continuously lead improvements in reliability, maintainability, and rapid feedback cycles.
  • Investigate bugs, debug applications, and automate root cause analysis through LLM-powered workflows and agentic testing solutions.
  • Mentor junior QA and automation engineers and actively participate in rigorous code and design reviews.
  • Champion the latest testing trends—integrating AI, agentic approaches, and LLMs in automated test authoring and validation.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Java or a similar language.
  • Mastery with test automation tools (Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Cypress, REST Assured).
  • Proven experience designing and building scalable automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Very strong expertise with test automation of Web Apps, complex APIs, Mobile apps.
  • Knowledge of performance and security testing.
  • Experience integrating automated testing with CI/CD pipelines and maintaining high coverage and rapid feedback.
  • Knowledge of agentic testing applications, practical use of LLMs and AI in testing, and a willingness to experiment with the latest QA tools.
  • Understanding of version control (Git), CI/CD (Jenkins, Azure DevOps), and structured test reporting.
  • Thorough grasp of SDLC, Agile practices, QA methodologies, and team collaboration.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4-5 years hands-on experience in automation/test engineering roles.
