Power Electronics Engineer

The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing specifications and requirements for product hardware.

Responsibilities:

  1. Review product designs and firmware controls with a focus on high-level system integration.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track product development milestones.
  3. Perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to evaluate reliability and ensure safety.
  4. Oversee Design for Excellence (DFX) updates, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and product life cycle management.
  5. Mentor the team on design to ensure adherence to established technical standards.
  6. Research new development concepts to guide future product innovation.
  7. Identify cost-competitive technological alternatives suitable for scaling up.
  8. Validate design concepts through simulations and prototyping.
  9. Prepare documentation, including bills of materials, circuit diagrams, and FMEAs.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Master's degree in Power Electronics or related field.
  2. Strong understanding of closed-loop control for power converters and compensator design.
  3. Experience with high-speed or high-power semiconductor devices.
  4. Solid technical knowledge and system-level design experience.
  5. Proven track record of managing multiple power electronics projects.
  6. Experience in EMI filter design and product qualification/compliance testing.
  7. Familiarity with circuit simulation tools like SIMULINK.
  8. Skills in derating, FMEA, and reliability analysis.
  9. Excellent circuit debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
  10. Experience writing technical documents.
  11. Strong knowledge of component selection and system integration.
  12. Good communication skills in English.
  13. Experience mentoring small teams and working in an agile product development model.
