Mechanical Design Engineer Job Opportunity

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pressure vessel design, international design standards, and fabrication detailing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze pressure vessels, reactors, storage tanks, and fabricated skids according to global codes.
  • Perform mechanical strength calculations, including shell and head thickness, nozzle reinforcement, wind/seismic load, support design, and weld sizing.
  • Execute FEA for stress analysis and load verification using tools like ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, or similar.
  • Create accurate fabrication drawings, welding details, and isometric piping drawings.
  • Prepare complete design dossiers, BOMs, and as-built drawings for submission and compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for mechanical and fabrication design.
  • Advanced understanding of ASME codes, TEMA, and international fabrication standards.
  • Hands-on experience in FEA-based stress analysis and structural optimization.
  • Solid grasp of seismic and wind load calculations per UBC/IBC/IS/EN codes.
  • In-depth knowledge of welding design, WPS/PQR, and fabrication environments.
