Job Description

The role of a Cybersecurity Specialist involves incident validation, analysis, and recommendation of solutions to resolve escalations. This position requires strong administration skills in SIEM and other security solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Incident Validation: Verify and analyze security incidents to determine their validity and potential impact.
  • Solution Recommendation: Provide recommendations for resolving escalated incidents based on thorough analysis and risk assessment.
  • Resolve Escalations: Collaborate with teams to resolve complex security incidents that require escalation.
  • Maintain Knowledge Base: Keep the knowledge base up-to-date with relevant information on security threats, tools, and best practices.
  • Escalation Point: Serve as an escalation point for device issue resolution, patch implementation, and rule base management.
  • Data Retrieval and Queries: Perform data retrieval and additional queries as required by the organization.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Academics: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech), MCA, M. Tech, M. E., or PhD in Computers/IT/Electronics.
  • Certifications: CEH, CCNA/CCNA Security, and any SIEM technical certification.
  • Tool Knowledge: Familiarity with SIEM, WAF, PAM ANTI-APT, NBAD, Deception, and other security tools.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity and SOC, with proficiency in Incident Management and Response.
