Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned data engineer to drive the design and implementation of our data architecture.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, data architecture, and data integration.

The successful candidate will have experience with data pipeline, ETL, and workflow management tools, such as Databricks and Data Factory. They will also have proficiency in programming languages like SQL, Python, R, or Scala.

A deep understanding of data architecture, data modelling, and ETL processes is essential. The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

In addition to technical skills, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are required. The ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with the team is also crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data pipelines using various technologies
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes using Databricks and Data Factory
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop data-driven solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, information systems, or a similar field
  • Proven experience in data engineering, data architecture, and data integration
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data modelling, and ETL processes

Bonus Skills:

  • Familiarity with best practice UX/UI design & development of Business Intelligence data visualisation/exploration tools
  • Familiarity with SDLC and Agile ways of working
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools like Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms
  • Knowledge of data governance principles
