Job Title: Android Lead - Technical Expert

Description:

As an Android Lead - Technical Expert at Victoria's Secret, you will be responsible for providing technology solutions for projects and daily support. The Android Lead ensures adherence to current standards and maintains a commitment to high-quality development and implementations. This individual will provide technology expertise and guidance, remaining current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

* Mobile initiatives (enhancements or project):(not all inclusive)
* The mobile developer will be required to design, develop, test, document, deploy, support and sustain the mobile apps—Android Mobile– interface and libraries.
* Collaborate with UX for product definition and use cases
* Assist with defining technical and functional user stories
* Qualifications:

* Strong in-depth knowledge in Android SDK, device APIs, Kotlin, Java.
* Expertise in integrating with various back-end services & Strong understanding of REST & SOAP.
* Expertise in developing custom widgets with flexibility and reusability in mind
* Expertise in Publishing mobile applications to Google app stores
* Expertise with source control (Bitbucket, Git).
* Strong understanding of REST & SOAP
* Experience in Networking Stack like, Retrofit with OkHttp
* Experience in Kotlin Coroutines, Reactive programming using RxJava and RxKotlin
* Experience in Dependency injection via libraries such as Dagger2, or Koin
* Experience in Unit + Instrumentation testing using libraries such as JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock, GoogleTruth, Mockk, and Espresso
* Expertise in build tools like Gradle/ Maven
* Expertise in app memory management, multithreading, networking & Security
* Understanding of Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration tools (Any)
* Strong mobile UI design and implementation experience, including prototyping
* Strong application architectural experience
* Estimation and code review of User stories
* Test Driven Development (TDD) is a plus.
* Experience and passion to work in a fast-paced Agile environment, delivering functional features in small time durations

Level of experience:

* Minimum 8+ years' experience in native Android mobile application development
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
* Collaborate with internal and external teams – Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and QA to conceptualize, build, test, and realize new features
* Ability to deliver simultaneous projects on time
* Be able to work collaboratively with local and remote team members
* Experience with unit testing, integration testing and/or UI automation
* Experience and understanding in continuous integration concepts and tools (Any)
* Experience in Git flow, Git forking and branching
* Should be able to identify reusable component against project-based components
* Monitoring incident for project and triage incidents and assign to appropriate team members
* Follow up on incidents and close incidents
* Experience in code coverage concepts and tools
* Should release builds based on QA Cycles and Deployment cycles
* Deploy the release builds to the appropriate channels (Airwatch / Store)
* Work with project manager in cut over plan and project closure
* Create quick proof of concepts and prototype as needed
* Partner with product managers and come up with Product roadmaps and release cycles
