Specialized Educator Position

This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the life of a child with developmental needs. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialized Educator to join our team on a freelance basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering personalized special education sessions in the child's home environment. This role offers flexibility and independence, allowing you to work at your own pace and schedule.

About the Role:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans that cater to the child's unique needs and goals
  • Foster strong communication skills, basic literacy, and language through engaging activities
  • Support the child's independence in daily living activities (ADLs), such as dressing, eating, and personal care
  • Conduct regular assessments to track progress and set achievable objectives
  • Collaborate with parents and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support
Requirements:
  • Diploma, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (RCI-registered preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with children with developmental disabilities
  • Strong understanding of communication strategies and life skills training
  • Ability to work independently in a home-based setting
  • Empathetic and family-focused approach
